Perhaps we had a bit of a utopia with BW. The only thing that gets me down about the game thus far is we have a gargantuan community because of the melding between different games that came here but the attitude has seemingly declined. and that's ok! I am a fantastic SC2 player but I want to be one of the best. I am working my ass off to be that guy that has both those factors in his pocket but right now I can confidently say I am not where I want to be. Now we are all new to this game and it comes down to who worked harder or figured something out sooner. Playing BW as long as I did it became easy to sit back and rely on my superior experience/knowledge for my wins. I find this time extremely enjoyable in that I have to earn my win streaks and develop myself for a big MLG event or perhaps GSL some day. Geoff "iNcontrol" Robinson: The game is difficult and enthralling because of that! I love that I can lose 6-7 games and be frustrated as HELL but then change something in my game and win 6-7 games. What are your thoughts on the current state of the game, and what would you like to see in the future be it balance changes, features added, etc.? ShadowOfRuin: That's great, I know GosuCoaching had a hiccup a little while back, but appears to be back on track which is good news for those looking to improve their game. All 3 projects are continuously evolving and that is essentially what we are looking to do! So we are adding videos, updating replays and looking to make that product bigger and better as well.

basically expand on our product by doing stuff for free for the community. earn it! Gosucoaching also wants to start doing free lessons streamed live or host more showmatches. In addition we have an open tourney that allows anyone to join and compete for 100$ which is key for those looking to get recognition but can't get invites. We are bringing back the Gold tourney that is weekly which allows players that aren't necessarily at the top of the rankings in Diamond but still love the game enough to compete. Geoff "iNcontrol" Robinson: As for Gosucoaching we are right now working on numerous ways to make it more of a household name in SC2. ShadowOfRuin: What future plans do you have for coaching, either with GosuCoaching or on your own? Any plans on expanding and starting a venture of your own with Bryce "Machine" Bates similar to the GosuGuide? What are your plans for the GosuGuide? We aren't looking at it like it's a get rich plan but rather a fun complementary thing we can do outside playing/running this game and if we can reach more people with a higher quality product we want to achieve that. we really want to be the best SC2 podcast and represent this community well. Eventually we all want to have top of the line mics for better sound quality and then we are going to professionalize ourselves. We don't have BIG plans necessarily but we are always looking to make it better. JP has done an excellent job making that show a success. Geoff "iNcontrol" Robinson: Yeah the State of the Game has grown to levels we had no idea we could achieve. ShadowOfRuin: The State of the Game podcast is rather popular, do you have anything big coming up similar to that? I find myself truly enjoying excuses to shoutcast showmatches or doing podcasts like the State of the Game. I do love the community aspect of this game though. It's impossible to perfect and hard to master so it fulfills my desire to always be the best. I have played SC and now SC2 all these years because of that fact. Geoff "iNcontrol" Robinson: I am a competitor first and foremost. So far, you’ve done a solid job of both commentating and playing StarCraft 2 at a high level, do you prefer one over the other? ShadowOfRuin: That's great to hear, we're looking forward to it. Working hard to get my builds down and gameplay sharp for the big tourney in Dallas this November! Geoff "iNcontrol" Robinson: I'm doing great. ShadowOfRuin: How're you doing today Geoff?
